Key Ingredient:
Linezolid 600 mg
Linzolac-600 mg Tablet is a synthetic antibiotic belonging to a new class of antimicrobials called the oxazolidinones. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs (pneumonia), and skin. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.
Linzolac-600 mg Tablet contains Linezolid. Linzolac-600 mg Tablet is bacteriostatic antibiotic with a unique mechanism of action. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to a site on the bacterial 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit. This prevents the formation of the 70S ribosomal unit; therefore, protein synthesis is inhibited. Thereby, prevents the growth of bacteria and helps treat the infections.
Take Linzolac-600 mg Tablet with or without food. Linzolac-600 mg Tablet should be swallowed as a whole; do not crush or chew the tablet. The dose and duration of Linzolac-600 mg Tablet can vary depending upon your condition and severity of the infection. So, follow the instructions given by your doctor. Also, it is recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance). In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as thrush (fungal infection), headache, metallic taste, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, constipation, skin rash, indigestion and localized pain. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Before starting Linzolac-600 mg Tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take Linzolac-600 mg Tablet on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Avoid foods and drinks containing tyramine such as cheese, yeast extracts, soybean extracts, alcohol, beer or wine while taking Linzolac-600 mg Tablet as it may react with tyramine and lead to an increase in blood pressure. Avoid taking Linzolac-600 mg Tablet if you are pregnant unless prescribed by a doctor. Linzolac-600 mg Tablet passes into breastmilk, so do not take Linzolac-600 mg Tablet if you are breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Linzolac-600 mg Tablet as it may increase dizziness and blood pressure. Linzolac-600 mg Tablet may cause dizziness and vision problems, so be cautious while driving and operating machinery.
